There’s still, days later, a discussion on whether or now Obama should have bowed to the emperor of Japan. I, for one, agree with many of my Fox News friends. A president should not bow. I agree he shouldn’t bow, and I don’t think he ought to shake hands either. It’s demeaning to have the leader of the free world just give their hand away like that. He is better than us and represents a country better than any country in the world. You don’t shake Queen Elizabeth’s hand, and I think double should go for Obama. One should bow to him, while the ladies curtsy, and beg to kiss the hem of his garment. The hand, if ever presented, should never literally be touched, even if kissing the Presidential ring is occasionally permitted.
The man-of-the-people humility he disgustingly displayed in his bowing is a testament to the weakness of his character and his lack of skill as a diplomat. He is above the common man, and should know better. He still answers many of our questions at press junkets. Can you believe this? “OOh, OOh, mister President…blah blah” says some slovenly commoner, and he just answers the freaking question. Bullshit. Courtesy dictates we don’t even address the man unless he first has a question for us.
Frankly, the whole things shames us as a nation.
