WARNING: This audio clip is disturbing, even to its author. It is distasteful, probably a big liability and should not be listenened to by anyone. I’ve always loved the muppets, so I apologize for the following-
Sound Quality: Please pardon my lack of popguard.
Back in the days of our old radio show, The Black Spot, Ryan and I used to make little radio sketches, sometimes together, sometimes separately. This one, a spoof of the Muppet Show, was always one of my favorites that I did on my own, mostly because of how it came to be. Basically, we didn’t have a whole lot of content planned for the next show, and I wanted something really terrific to surprise Ryan with.
Usually, I’d have an idea for a sketch, and make it. (I’m pretty sure most creativity follows this format.) This piece (and I’ll dare to call it such a haughty term) was different because it was sort of backwards-inspired. Instead of having an idea, and then trying to do the voices, I just started trying to do different voices, until I discovered that, at least passably, I could do Kermit and Miss Piggy (please not the word ‘passably,’ because I don’t want to have to defend myself later if any of you should comment on how unlike miss piggy I sound). After that, it was just me sitting in a lonely little living room for about 6 hours writing, rehearsing, recording and cutting. It’s not the greatest piece of production, but it still makes me laugh/cringe, and I submit it for you approval/raging-hatred.
Please note that the original “The Black Spot” podcast is no longer managed so please don’t try to comment on it as we’re not listening.

Taking a group of beloved group of family-friendly characters, and associating them with sex and drugs? How very, very, very original and funny.
I can only assume your tone here is genuine and, after all, as mother taught me, “always trust a Phonglehorn.”
Dude, I love the podcasts. That was funny.
Dan
Thanks, I’ll work on some more. Wasn’t sure what the reception would be.
Does anyone else miss Oliver Phonglehorn as much as I do? Somebody do a little facebook stalk and let’s bring him out into the light.
I think you would really enjoy “Meet the Feebles”. It was directed by the lord of the rings guy… his earlier stuff. I strongly recommend it.
Shall I infer that the Feebles are a raunchy bunch?
