Thought of The Day: “Why Aren’t Smart Phones Tricorders Yet?”

Our smart phones can do an awful lot these days.  They can get online, send video, take photos, listen to music, check the weather, etc.  But what good is any of that, really?  Any retard phone can take a photo, and being “smart” shouldn’t mean just doing what a retard can do better.  A modern smartphone should do things most retard phones couldn’t imagine.

So what should today’s smart phones be able to do?

Let’s say I’m at a party and thinks get a little crazy.  Maybe somebody opens the accelerator hatch in the cargo bay.  I want my smart phone to be able to register how much theta radiation is being emitted when a bulkhead is compromised in a temporal flux.  I need that kind of information to come to me, in real-time, and in a clean, easy display.

What if levels reach 300 millirads?  You think there is an app for that?  So far, no.

Or how about if a tightly confined annular force field is blocking my only source of water and is, as yet, invulnerable to all attempts I’ve made with my phaser?  Have today’s smart phones got the necessary transponder elements to slow and possibly control the EM sentry?

I mean, what happens when a companion of mine is enmeshed in electrically deposited selenium fibers?  Huh?  You think today’s so-called “smart” phones are going to be able to even scan for that?

Face it: today’s smart phones are just the retard phones of tomorrow.  I want something better.
