I googled "allergic to mint" to find out what other herbs to avoid (cooking for a friend) and I found this. I must say that I too do this. I say I'm allergic to beer. Which may or may not be true. I broke out in hives the same night I had beer for the first time. But I also had just used a new hair product and the hives lasted for 3 days. My doctor advised I stop using all new beauty products, detergents, etc., and they went away. So yes, I hated my first sip of beer, the smell, the taste, everything. All through college I was able to get peoples sympathy over my allergy instead of people just thinking I was a weirdo for not wanting to get wasted. I am actually allergic to pecans and walnuts, but not as severely as I let people think. Funny post! You and I are not alone in the false allergy thing, I'm sure of it. I love this post!
